A rigorous double-blind placebo-controlled study has found that turkesterone, the heavily-marketed "natural anabolic" supplement, produces zero additional muscle growth compared to placebo in trained athletes.
The Study
120 resistance-trained men took either 500mg turkesterone or placebo daily for 12 weeks while following an identical training program. There was no significant difference in muscle mass, strength, or body composition between groups.
Industry Reaction
Supplement companies have pushed back on the findings, but the study's rigorous design and large sample size have been praised by independent researchers as definitive.
