A large-scale workplace wellness study conducted across 50 Fortune 500 companies has found that employees participating in on-site yoga programs took 28 percent fewer sick days annually compared to non-participating colleagues. The three-year study, the largest of its kind, tracked over 75,000 employees and controlled for age, job type, and pre-existing health conditions.
Companies that offered at least two weekly yoga sessions saw the greatest benefits, with participating employees also reporting 35 percent lower stress levels and 20 percent higher job satisfaction scores. The return on investment was calculated at $3.27 saved for every $1 spent on program implementation.
Human resources leaders are taking notice, with survey data showing that corporate yoga program adoption has increased 45 percent since 2024. Experts recommend that companies start with accessible, beginner-friendly classes to maximize participation rates across diverse employee populations.
